Costs & funding

THC Employer Services' training and support for employers falls into three categories:

  • Fully Funded - no cost to the employer, fully paid through funding
  • Subsidised - partial cost to the employer, partially paid through funding
  • Unfunded - no funding available

We use a diverse and complex range of Government and European Union funds to minimise course and support costs for employers. Economies of scale, and refinement of course objectives can further reduce or remove the cost to employers (for example, inclusion of an unfunded course within a longer funded course can offset the cost of the unfunded course). In the majority of organisations, many employees will be eligible for fully funded support, some will not. For these reasons, course costs are not standard, and will be unique to each organisation. The summary of costs below are therefore indicative. THC Employer Services will provide quotes to individual businesses upon request.

Summary costs

Level 1 NVQs

All full NVQ Level 1 qualifications are fully funded for those employees who meet Train to Gain eligibility requirements.

Level 2 NVQs

All full NVQ Level 2 qualifications are fully funded for those employees who meet Train to Gain eligibility requirements.

Level 3 NVQs

NVQ Level 3 courses are highly subsidised, and can be fully funded in certain circumstances, the level of subsidy is calculated by the number of learners and type of course.

Level 4 NVQs

NVQ Level 4 qualifications are subsidised, the level of subsidy is calculated by the number of learners and type of course.

Other Accredited Qualifications at Levels 1 - 4

Where qualifications are not NVQs, they are not currently funded. This applies to 'Certificates' and 'Awards'

English

Fully funded for most levels.

Apprenticeships

Costs are variable, and dependent upon the age of the apprentice. Apprenticeships for young people are fully funded. Economies of scale can further reduce costs.

Modular Courses

These courses are fully funded for businesses with 250 employees or less. For larger employers, costs are variable, dependent upon the number of learners and type of course.

Creative Media Training

These courses are unfunded.

Financial Services Training

These courses are unfunded. Costs vary, dependent upon accreditation costs and length of course.

All recruitment support is fully funded, subject to eligibility criteria.

Business Support

The majority of our business support provision is fully funded for small and medium sized enterprises. Please contact us for further details.
